Dr. Johnnie Walker

Dr Johnnie Walker has been at the East York Chiropractic Clinic for his entire career. His first day was Feb 12, 2001 and he recently celebrated 25 yrs in practice.He studied chiropractic at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Previously to that, he had studied at U of T, where he earned a BSc with a Neuroscience specialist. His philosophy in practice is that maintaining a healthy body is easier than fixing problems, but when the problems arise, he is ready to help out. His treatments are vigorous, thorough and not rushed. He likes to get to know his patients and their families to build a trusting and comfortable relationship. He doesn't  preach to his patients, and prefers to work with them to find the best treatment in terms of comfort, speed of relief, and financial ability. He takes pride in the fact that he has many patients that have been coming for many years and multiple generations. He must be doing something right!He has studied various techniques and will try to find the best style for each patient. He doesn't use any modalities however, only hands on techniques. For issues that might require different styles of treatment, he will work with the other practitioners in the office (or with however the patient prefers) to find the best collaborative outcome for the patients. Dr Walker is fluent in English and Spanish, but having worked in the Thorncliffe Park area for 25  yrs, he has found a way to get by with a lot of finger pointing and thumbs up and down.Outside of work, Dr Walker is married and has 3 kids which keep him busy with their own activities. He's been coaching softball for years now!
